|Level I Gentle Hatha Yoga - This class includes mindful, slow paced floor poses, seated postures, spinal twisting, standing postures, gentle back bends, and deep breathing. Props will be used when needed. This is a good class for those fairly new to yoga, as well as the experienced who enjoy this gentle approach to their practice. It is ideal for those who have limitations, which require a gentler approach. This class is also appropriate for those with physically challenging conditions, chronic pain or disease, restricted range of movement, or those feeling especially out of shape. |Level I Hatha Yoga - Basic asanas (postures) are used, along with preparatory warm ups. Yoga breathing techniques are incorporated into all movements, along with yoga philosophy and its unique approach to movement, behavior, and spirituality. This class is appropriate for those who want to further master or refine the basic postures and concepts.
|Level I Hatha Yoga & Meditation - This class will include basic postures before practicing pranayama (breathing/life force control exercises). This prepares you for meditation, which requires a relaxed body and a calm mind. You will be introduced to chanting and a number of meditation and visualization techniques, which you will be able to use immediately, in class, as well as at home. The regular practice of meditation, even for short periods of time, will help you maintain a more centered and relaxed frame of mind and to experience periods of calmness and peace, even in our ever-hectic world. ||Level I / Level II Hatha Yoga - This class is for those who are transitioning to a higher level of practice. It is most appropriate for those who have taken at least one Level I course. More advanced asanas will be introduced and the class will move along at a faster pace, based on the needs and progress of the class as a whole.
||Level I/II Vinyasa Flow – From vi (in a special way) and nyasa (to place); “to place in a special way.” Vinyasa, “flow yoga,” incorporates elements of Iyengar Yoga, Viniyoga and Ashtanga Yoga in fluid, flowing movements that link one asana to another, like a dance. The concept of “flow” also pertains to the breath, as the flow is guided by the rhythm of inhalation and exhalation, coordinating every movement with every breath. In this way the body, mind and spirit are yoked in a dynamic interplay of breath and movement, stillness and motion. |Level II Hatha Yoga – This class includes faster paced floor and seated postures, standing postures, back bends, and spinal twists, and breathing techniques. More advanced poses will be offered on occasion. Sun Salutations may or may not be included in this practice. Props will be used as needed and alignment will be discussed. Those at this level have progressed to more advanced asanas and are comfortable with all the basic postures, Hatha yoga concepts and philosophy. Ongoing practice will continue to build strength, flexibility, stamina, mental and emotional poise and spiritual attunement.

Classic Ashtanga Style Hatha Yoga, Primary Series: Ashtanga Yoga is the
system of Yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research
Institute In Mysore, India. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the
breath with progressive series of postures - a process producing intense
internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and
organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm
mind.
| Level III Yoga - This is an advanced class for the experienced practitioner. This fast paced class offers the more challenging, advanced poses focusing on the core, upper and lower body. Advanced Yoga concepts and methodologies are discussed and practiced. ______________________________________________________________________________
